Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 1 End Date and Two Leaked New Weapons
The 11th season of the world-renowned game Fortnite is going to extend even more than it was decided to be. Epic Games recently announced that the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 would run through the entirety of February 2020. The announcement may be the result of Epic Games’ 14-day holiday event.
It does not mean that the future is bleak for the gamers as Epic promises to offer new rewards and features in the latter half of Chapter 2. A rumor supports the promise stating that Epic has two big surprises for the gamers. The second season of chapter 2 was initially planned to wrap up in December 2019. The gaming community even went a step further and predicted the exact date to be 12 December 2019. This extension was much like the previous year’s when Epic decided to take a winter’s break.
There has been no official explanation for the vacation other than preparing for the upcoming holiday-themed updates. The brief explanation is offered through a blog post, and it also teased free rewards, new game features, and a brand-new live experience the players cannot afford to miss. If anything, Epic sure knows how to hype up its events.
The leaked news about the weapons came out in a tweet, and the handle user was pretty sure that they would be true. The leaked weapons are rumored to be previously vaulted weapons, and one of them is the Heavy Assault Rifle. It is somewhat surprising as the weapon was recently vaulted. The Heavy Assault Rifle was vaulted in mid-October, but as it was famous amidst the gamers, a comeback is not all that surprising.
The second rumored weapon is the Scoped Assault Rifle which was vaulted in the 11.0 patch. The weapon was a fan-favorite as well, and vaulting it did not make much sense from the side of Epic. The rumors suggest that Epic has already decided the rarities that would contain the weapons. It is also said that weapons’ stats are already decided as well.
The rarity of the weapons is as follows:
- Heavy Assault Rifle – Legendary and Epic
- Scoped Assault Rifle – Rare and Uncommon
The guns’ stats are likely to remain the same as Epic plans on bringing them back the way they were. The Heavy Assault Rifle will have separate damage scale according to its rarities. The epic rarities of the gun will deal 44 damage, while the legendary rarities will deal 46 damage.
The tweet did not confirm or hint any other weapon, but looking at the extended date of Fortnite Chapter 2, it is inevitable that there will be many more surprises. The Fortnite map will most likely have snow during the holiday event, and some grenades will make a return as well. These two will be accompanied by several holiday weapon skins which merely looks like the start. Whatever the battle-royale offers, the gamers around the globe are certainly going to love it. Fortnite has been a hit ever since its release and is compatible with platforms like PC, Xbox One, PS4, mobiles, and even Nintendo Switch.
