How to Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication improves the system data and provides social media account protection to their users. You can disable two-factor authentication by signing in to the Apple ID, Microsoft account, and Google account. You have to enter the registered email and password to complete this procedure. Here’s how to turn off two-factor authentication.
Steps for disabling two-factor authentication with Microsoft Account
• Go to the Microsoft account webpage in the browsing software. Enter account.microsoft.com/account into the text field.
• Tap on the Enter or Return button given on the system keyboard.
• Tap on the login option. You will get this option in the top right-hand side of the webpage.
• Now, you will get the login form on a new window.
• Log in to the account associated with Microsoft. Follow the steps mentioned below to log in to the Microsoft account:
- Type the email ID.
- Type the contact number.
- Type Skype ID.
- Press on the Next button.
- Type the registered password.
- Press on the login button.
• Press on the Update option located in the “Security” column. You will get the security column on the new window.
• Press on the Explore more security options located at the end of the display. You will get this option on the “Security basics” webpage.
• Now, you need to confirm the information you have entered. You have to select any one option whether you wish to get the confirmation code in the registered email or message to the registered number. You will get the “Additional security options” button on a new window.
- Choose one of the methods.
- Type the confirmation code mentioned on the registered email or phone number.
- Tap on the Verify button.
• Tap on the Turn off two-step verification URL. It is located below the “Two-step verification” header.
• Press on the Yes button given in the verification window. After clicking on this button, it will turn off the two-factor verification on the account associated with Microsoft.
Steps for disabling two-factor authentication with Google Account
• Click on the Google account webpage in the browsing software. Enter account.microsoft.com/account into the location bar.
• Press on the Enter or Return option located on the computer keyboard.
• In case you are not logged in yet, then press on an azure color log in option given on the upper right-hand side and sign in by entering the email address and password.
• Tap on Signing in to Google.
• Press on the 2-Step Verification button.
• Confirm the password you have entered.
• Finish the 2-Step Verification procedure.
• Tap on Turn Off option.
