How to Set Alexa Reminders

Everyone uses Alexa’s main feature which is alarms and timers, and they can easily set timers with the help of voice instructions. If you can set timers by your voice, then it will be very convenient. You can put several timers on your Alexa device and can give a title to those timers so that you do not get confused.

You can also stop that timer whenever you don’t need it. After putting a timer, you will get to view it on the left side of your device. Once the timer stop working, then the screen indicates you that the timer is already turned off and the turning off process of the timer gets completed. Through your voice, you can disable it or press the “Dismiss” button on your device. If you want to put several timers on Alexa, then follow the different methods given below.

Through Voice Command

  • Say “Alexa”. Say the wake-up word to start your Alexa, and she will wait until your next order.

  • You Alexa wake up word is set as your default setting, in case you change that Alexa title into any different title, you have to access the wake-up word you had set before.

  • Tell Alexa to create a timer which is needed only for a few seconds. Command, “Alexa, start a timer for,” and tell the Alexa how much time you want it to keep an eye on your routine. Take an example, in case you like to put a ten-second timer, then you have to say “Alexa, set a timer for ten seconds.”

  • On the other hand, you also can say “Alexa, set timer,” and she replies you “For how long?’

  • The limitation of putting a timer is that it lasts up to only twenty-four hours.

  • Give a Title to Alexa after setting it. You can give any title to the timer in Alexa as per your wish. This will be an easy and quick way to identify the voice as you don’t get mixed up.

  • Question Alexa about the status of the timer. To know the status of your timer, you can question Alexa about it. Let’s take an example, you can ask “Alexa, tell me the status of my timers,” and Alexa creates a list of pending timers automatically on every timer.

  • Alexa will tell you the status of your timer after you tell her the timers title. For instance, in case you would like to know the remaining time for the timer titled as “Stove”, then you can ask Alexa about how much time is remaining in the stove timer.
